Job summary

McLaren Automotive seeks a Head of General Assembly Manufacturing Engineering to lead process and equipment delivery for new model introductions. You will own production efficiency targets and govern quality management across vehicle development, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor a team of ~15 engineers, foster high performance, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in manufacturing engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Senior leadership position for at least 5 years.
• Experience in General assembly strategies and best practices.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategies to optimise production efficiency and quality.
• Experience leading and managing teams of manufacturing engineers.
• Strong technical knowledge with data-driven decision making (DMAIC).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of processes and equipment for new model introductions.
• Ensure production efficiency targets are met and owned.
• Oversee quality management to meet defined targets and specifications.
• Lead a 15-strong manufacturing engineering team and develop capabilities.
• Drive root cause analysis and robust resolutions across projects.
• Collaborate across functions to drive continuous improvement and issues resolution.
