GBR Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading UK Charity to recruit an experienced Head of Fundraising in the Milton Keynes area. You will shape and roll out the fundraising strategy, secure new income streams, and build a strong network of supporters and advocates to expand the Charity’s impact within Milton Keynes and surrounding communities.

The role requires strategic leadership, data‑driven decision making, and collaboration with the CEO and SMT to drive cross‑departmental planning

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Charities Fundraising Strategy (5 year plan and beyond).
• Manage fundraising department performance and ensure delivery of annual targets, ideally surpassing them.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth across all channels including Corporate, Individual Giving, Events, Digital, Grants & Trusts, Major Gifts & Legacies.

GBR Recruitment Limited are proudly working exclusively with one of the UK's leading Charities, recruiting for an experienced Head of Fundraising, to successfully modify their fundraising / income strategy & roll it out operationally, securing new income streams, new advocates & new supporters of the fantastic work they carry out in the local Milton Keynes & surrounding areas communities. A fantastic Charity that is focused on supporting those less fortunate & in changing their lives for the better.

Duties

• Passionately & professionally leading the highly successful development, implementation & delivery of the Charities Fundraising Strategy (5 year strategic plan & onwards) working closely with the CEO & SMT.
• Managing the fundraising departments performance levels, ensuring the delivery of agreed annual fundraising targets (ideally exceeding).
• Strategically pinpointing opportunities for revenue growth.
• Maximising income revenue streams, plus developing new & diverse sources of income across all streams of activity. Corporate Fundraising & Corporate Partnerships as well as increasing other revenue from Individual Giving, Events Fundraising, Digital & Crowdfunding, Grants & Trusts, Major Gifting & Legacies.
• Promote innovation & blue-sky thinking when it comes to fundraising channels / methods.
• Make strategic & educated data-led decisions, based on data analysis / market intelligence.
• Continuously improve & develop departmental processes & fundraising plans (CI focused).
• Professionally network with an array of fundraising professionals & enable the sharing of best practice ideas & the successful identification of opportunities for collaboration.
• Expand the Charities reach & exposure, by growing trusting & authentic relationships.
• Be the number one advocate for promoting a culture of fundraising across the Charity.
• Promote the Fundraising team's personal development (L&D / Training / Qualifications).
• Build strong professional relationships with colleagues at all levels of the Charity.
• Be a key collaborator for developing wider organisational strategies, actively contributing to cross departmental planning & development opportunities (key member of the SMT).
• Work in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team to further enhance the profile of the Charity amongst their current supporters & the public / target audience.
• Successfully expand the Charities external network of influence & engagement, seeking opportunities to always maximise the impact of the Charities fantastic work.
• Engage & work closely with the Charities Board of Trustees, reporting fundraising activity to the board & the wider committee (MI reports).
• Be a key advocate of the Charities core values, promoting them both internally & externally.
