Job summary

Cedar is recruiting a commercially astute Head of FP&A to join its West London team on a hybrid basis. The role will own long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, delivering critical insight to support strategic decisions and drive business performance.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director and collaborating with senior leaders, you will shape the financial strategy, build a best-in-class FP&A function and lead a team while partnering with commercial stakeholders

Qualifications

• ACA or CIMA qualified with strong FP&A leadership track record.
• Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for CFO/Executive/Board.
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning.
• Experience leading high-performing finance teams and partnering with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on budgeting, forecasting and long-range strategic planning processes.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis, management information and performance reporting to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board.
• Key input into strategic decision-making in relation to investment initiatives, leading the financial evaluation process and business case sign-off, providing robust financial insight and recommendations.
• Act as a trusted business partner to senior operational and commercial stakeholders, challenging assumptions and driving improved financial performance.
• Develop and enhance financial models, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic and commercial decisions.
• Own delivery of business performance analysis, i.e. revenue, profitability, margins, cash flow and key business performance drivers.
• Lead, develop and mentor a team of 7, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and commercial accountability.
• Drive improvements in financial reporting, planning systems and processes, including greater automation and efficiency.
• Work closely with Group Finance and wider business functions to ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational performance.

Candidate Requirements

• ACA or CIMA qualified with an impressive career track record.
• Proven background in an FP&A leadership role within an international or multi-entity organisation.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable business insights.
• Extensive experience of forecasting, budgeting and long-term strategic planning.
• Demonstrable experience of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at CFO, Executive and Board level.
• Strong systems knowledge with experience of improving FP&A processes, reporting capabilities and financial planning tools.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach, who naturally combines strategic thinking with strong attention to detail.
