Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking a Fostering Team Manager to lead Supervising Social Workers and drive excellence in safeguarding and outcomes for children in care. Based at the Whitstable office with regional and national travel, the role requires a proactive leader with a strong social work background.

You will contribute to the fostering strategy, manage performance, and develop a high-performing team while maintaining regulatory compliance and excellent stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant professional qualification in social work.
• Registered with Social Care England (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Fostering Service in delivering the overarching strategic plan for Compass.
• Lead and motivate a team of Supervising Social Workers to ensure outstanding care and outcomes.
• Ensure safeguarding principles are embedded in practice and compliant with policy and standards.
• Achieve regional targets for placement growth and carer recruitment/retention.
• Provide day-to-day operational support to the team.
