Job summary

The Wellcome Sanger Institute is seeking a Head of Financial Business Partnering for Scientific Platform Services. You will guide investment decisions, resource allocation and service delivery to support our scientific mission, leading a team of finance business partners.

You will shape costing and pricing for internal services and external opportunities, collaborating with senior leaders across Genomic Platforms and Technology Development.

Qualifications

• Advanced budgeting and forecasting knowledge including scenario modelling and capital investment analysis.
• Experience developing pricing and standard costing models in complex environments.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Guide senior leaders on financial planning, scenario modelling and capital investment business cases.
• Develop and implement costing and pricing for internal services and external opportunities.
• Translate financial data into performance measures and actionable recommendations.
• Shape commercial proposals and support negotiations with stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop finance business partners.
• Improve processes, reporting and governance while maintaining robust controls.
