Job summary

The Wellcome Sanger Institute is seeking a Head of Financial Business Partnering for Scientific Platform Services to guide investment, resources and service delivery that support world-class genomics research.

You will lead a small finance business partnering team across Genomic Platforms, Cellular Platforms and Technical Development & Scale-Up with an annual budget of about £15 million, shaping costing and pricing models and translating data into performance insights.

Qualifications

Advanced budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and cost analysis.
Experience creating pricing and standard costing in a complex environment.
Influence senior leaders and communicate complex information clearly.
Lead and develop finance teams through coaching and performance management.
Proficient in financial modelling, Excel and dashboards.
Improve operational performance through strategic problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Guide senior leaders on financial planning, budgeting and investment cases.
Develop costing and pricing models for internal services and external opportunities.
Translate data into performance measures and actionable insights.
Shape commercial proposals and support negotiations with stakeholders.
Lead, coach and develop finance partners to collaborate effectively.
Improve processes, reporting and governance while maintaining controls.
