Your new role
As a senior finance leader, you will advise the Section 151 Officer, elected members, and the Director for Service Reform & Strategy. You will shape financial strategy, build stakeholder partnerships, and support strategic decision-making. Leading a team of Finance Business Partners, you will oversee financial support across portfolios like Adult Social Care, Public Health, and others, providing expert advice and enabling effective budget management and service efficiencies.

What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA, or CIPFA preferred) with strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, and a good understanding of local government finance. Experience in organizational transformation, collaboration with senior managers, and partnering with adult social care is highly desirable. A solutions-focused approach and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively are essential.
