Head of Finance Operations

Location: Bristol

Salary: £85k base salary plus bonus

The Role

Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and Finance Systems teams, ensuring seamless transactional finance operations across the group.

This leadership role focuses on enhancing financial controls, optimizing technology, and improving processes for long-term growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Set vision, drive performance, and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Oversee workloads and deadlines across AP, AR, Credit Control, and Financial Systems teams.
• Manage transactional finance, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Identify automation opportunities to streamline finance operations.
• Work with senior stakeholders and finance heads to provide financial insights, achieve results, and resolve escalations.
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, VAT principles, and jurisdictional requirements across all entities.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Proven team management and finance leadership experience
• Experience overseeing transactional finance in a multi-entity environment (beneficial)
• Ability to review processes and suggest improvements or automation
• Strong commercial mindset and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Excel skills; NetSuite or Oracle experience preferred
• Experience in hospitality, travel, or real estate sectors preferred
• Residence within a commutable distance of Bristol
