We are recruiting for a Head of Finance Operations to lead edyn’s Finance Operations team. This team comprises approximately 25 members across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Systems Administration, and Process Improvement, ensuring the smooth delivery of transactional finance for the group. The role involves supporting business performance and serving as the primary figurehead and escalation point for the business.

The role will focus on optimizing technology to streamline and simplify business processes. Edyn is a fast-paced, energised company seeking a candidate with strong technical and interpersonal skills, driven to realize both personal and company potential.

As part of a wider 60+ person Finance team, the jobholder should be a passionate and positive financial practitioner committed to continuous improvement through structured working practices that challenge current processes. A solid understanding of financial principles and experience supporting business process changes are essential. Attention to detail is a key attribute.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Day-to-day operations

• Set the team’s culture, leadership, and vision, and support talent management and development.
• Oversee full transactional ledger ownership, review and approve month-end tasks, and approve transactions within approval limits.
• Establish and maintain a transactional control environment, ensuring process documentation and evaluating opportunities for efficiency and automation.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing Finance Operations in projects and change programs.
• Act as SME for FinOps, handle escalation on finance queries, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Support risk management policies and ensure staff training and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with local requirements and optimal operation of finance systems.

• Understanding of VAT principles and multi-jurisdictional operations.

PREFERABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

• Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite.
• Experience in travel or hospitality sectors.
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
