Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting has exclusive mandate to recruit a Head of Finance for a fast-growing hospitality-focused group based near Exeter. This senior role blends operational finance leadership with strategic input, reporting to the executive team, and supporting ambitious growth and acquisitions.

The successful candidate will drive monthly management accounts, budgeting, cashflow and financial modelling, while developing robust controls, governance and ESG reporting in a national-scale

Qualifications

• This role requires ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and prior senior finance leadership experience at Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Director level.
• Experience in hospitality, leisure, tourism or property sectors, multi-site businesses, high growth or entrepreneurial environments is highly regarded.
• Strong technical finance skills combined with commercial awareness and board-level confidence.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
• Development of financial models to support growth and investment decisions.
• Supporting acquisition activity, business cases and investment opportunities.
• Providing commercial analysis and strategic insight to senior leadership.
• Leading and developing finance processes, systems and controls.
• Managing external relationships including auditors, advisors and funding partners.
• Supporting ESG, sustainability and impact reporting initiatives.
• Driving continuous improvement across finance and reporting functions.
