Job summary

Paul Card Recruitment seeks a Head of Finance for a leading charity to oversee the finance function and influence key strategic decisions. You will partner with the CEO, SLT and Trustees, delivering robust budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning while guiding managers across the charity in financial performance and resource utilisation.

You’ll lead and develop a high-performing finance team, drive improvements in systems and controls, and provide clear financial insight to inform impactful

Qualifications

• Significant senior finance experience.
• Strong financial planning and management reporting skills.
• Ability to challenge and influence at senior level.
• Knowledge of SORP and restricted funds would be advantageous, but isn’t essential if you can learn quickly.

The Opportunity

As the senior finance lead, you'll work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Trustees, providing the insight, challenge and recommendations that support important decisions.

You’ll also build strong relationships with managers across the charity, helping them understand financial performance and make the best use of their resources.

Your role will include:

• Leading budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning.

• Leading and developing an established finance team.

You’ll have genuine strategic influence while remaining close enough to the operation to understand what's happening behind the numbers.

About You

You’ll bring significant senior finance experience, strong financial planning and management reporting skills, and the confidence to challenge and influence at senior level.

Charity experience and knowledge of SORP and restricted funds would be advantageous, but aren't essential if you can develop that knowledge quickly.
