Salary up to £63,985 per annum, dependent on experience

We are partnering with a respected, purpose-driven organisation to recruit a Head of Finance to join its Senior Leadership Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional with charity or not-for-profit finance experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. Whether you\'re already working as a Head of Finance or are an experienced Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Deputy Head of Finance looking to progress into your first Head of Finance role, we\'d love to hear from you.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Resources, you will lead the Finance function, providing strategic financial leadership while helping to shape the organisation\'s long-term financial sustainability and supporting the delivery of vital community services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the Finance team.
• Provide strategic financial advice and insight to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance with charity and statutory requirements.
• Oversee statutory reporting, annual audits and regulatory returns.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Support the organisation\'s sustainability and future growth through effective financial management.

About You

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
• Experience working within the charity or not-for-profit sector, with a strong understanding of charity accounting, governance and financial reporting.
• Experience leading or developing finance teams and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and statutory reporting.
• The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, meaningful insight to support decision-making.
• Experience of driving process improvements and supporting organisational change.

You may already be working as a Head of Finance, or you could be an experienced Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Deputy Head of Finance looking for the opportunity to step into a broader strategic leadership role.
