Role Overview

As their Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will oversee financial planning, analysis, and management, ensuring operational alignment with strategic goals. You will manage and originate external financing relationships and support commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for all financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust internal controls.
• Evaluate business assumptions, risks, and opportunities affecting performance, ensuring proactive management.
• Develop financial strategies aligned with long-term goals.
• Lead equity and debt financing initiatives for strategic investments.
• Structure and negotiate funding solutions in line with the financial roadmap.
• Manage relationships with financial stakeholders, including banks, investors, and asset managers.
• Ensure seamless execution of financing transactions and ongoing compliance.
• Oversee due diligence processes for investments and financings.
• Support M&A, JV, and other corporate development activities.
• Drive revenue generation and optimise pricing strategies.
• Monitor changes in financial and regulatory landscapes for risks and opportunities.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Lead the accounting team and maintain high team performance.
• Support financial modelling at project and group levels.
• Assist in commercial negotiations with suppliers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AIA, or ICAEW is essential. A STEM degree with an accounting qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in the UK.
• Proven success in securing and executing complex financing deals.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
