About Us

Our client is a charitable organisation working within the travel and tourism sector and has ambitious plans for the future and are are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure robust financial management across our organisation.

The Role

As our Head of Finance, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for safeguarding the charity's financial health, driving efficiencies, and supporting decision making with clear financial insight. You will manage the finance team, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with charity and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and reporting.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Provide financial analysis and advice to trustees and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with Charity SORP, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Strengthen financial controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Line manage and support the finance team, ensuring professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to the wider strategic direction of the charity as part of the senior leadership team.
About You
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of charity finance regulations and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • A strategic thinker, with the ability to balance detail with big-picture perspective.
  • Passionate about using financial expertise to support social impact.
