Permanent Head of Finance

Amplifi Talent are partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role within the senior leadership team, offering a clear and exciting pathway to Finance Director. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring robust financial governance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a full and active role as a member of the Management Team, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Lead the preparation of Management Accounts, Payroll, Statutory Accounts, and Budgets.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers and staff.
- Manage a small, high-performing finance team responsible for transaction processing and credit control.
- Maintain and update Finance and Compliance policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary contact for Internal and External Auditors, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.
- Develop and monitor KPIs and management information to support strategic oversight.
- Oversee daily liquidity monitoring and forecasting.
- Enhance the accounting system to improve financial reporting capabilities.
- Provide regular financial management reports to the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Support legal compliance across financial, data protection, employment, and consumer regulations.
- Prepare budgets and financial inputs for the Business Plan.
- Identify and implement efficiencies within the Finance Team.
Specific Tasks:- Prepare monthly Management Accounts and manage the Finance Team's work plans.
- Lead training and development initiatives within the team, setting and reviewing annual objectives.
- Deliver regular written reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
- Escalate emerging financial risks or issues as appropriate.
- Manage financial reporting and scenario planning.
- Complete statutory and regulatory returns
- Prepare accounts for affiliated entities and ensure audit readiness.
Regulatory & Compliance:- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting standards (e.g., FRS102).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory ratios and report performance to the Board.
- Monitor and report on progress against Internal Audit recommendations.
Candidate Requirements:- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in statutory financial accounting, management accounts, and budgeting.
- At least 3 years' experience managing people or teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- High proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with Sage is advantageous.
