Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced Principal Facilities Manager to lead Cleaning, School Caretaking and School Crossing Patrol services across schools, corporate buildings and community sites. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for a large frontline workforce, ensuring safe, clean, compliant and welcoming environments for pupils and staff.

The role requires significant senior management experience in Facilities Management or a similar environment,

Qualifications

Significant senior management experience within Facilities Management, Property Services or a comparable operational environment.
Proven track record of leading large, multi-site frontline services through managers and supervisors.
Experience of budget management, procurement, contract management and service improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for Cleaning, School Caretaking and School Crossing Patrol services.
Lead and develop a large and diverse workforce across schools, corporate buildings and community sites.
Ensure compliance with statutory and contractual requirements and drive continuous service improvement.
Build productive relationships with Headteachers, business managers, senior leaders and contractors.
Shape the future of cleaning, caretaking and school crossing patrol services and drive modernization.
