Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Managing Estimator to lead pricing and commercial development for major highways and infrastructure tenders.

The role focuses on delivering accurate, competitive estimates and guiding an estimating team across bids and client engagements. The successful candidate will bring extensive highways estimation experience, strong NEC knowledge and a track record of profitable tender outcomes, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement and

Qualifications

• Extensive estimating experience in highways, infrastructure or term maintenance.
• Proven success in developing winning tender submissions.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts, specs and risk management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary tender teams and meeting deadlines.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build estimates from first principles.
• Experience using Candy or similar estimating software; advanced Excel skills.
• Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience.
• Professional membership of RICS, CIOB or ACostE desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing and commercial development of strategic highways and street-lighting term maintenance tenders.
• Develop client information into accurate, competitive estimates.
• Produce tender estimates supporting sustainable growth.
• Lead estimating team and coordinate inputs from multiple functions.
• Coach and develop estimating professionals and standards.
• Prepare and review cost models including labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, prelims and overheads.
• Manage supply chain enquiries and tender adjudications.
• Present pricing recommendations and strategies at governance reviews.
• Support negotiations and client engagements.
