Job summary

Coleg y Cymoedd is seeking a Head of Estates to lead and develop a multi-site estates function across Nantgarw, Ystrad Mynach, Llwynypia and Aberdare. The role blends operational delivery with strategic planning to move from reactive maintenance to structured, proactive asset management.

You’ll drive a more formal Planned Preventative Maintenance approach, improve CAFM data quality, oversee budgets, contractors and capital projects, and work with teams to align standards across campuses to

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large, multi-site property portfolio.
• Degree-level qualification in estates and facilities management or equivalent.
• Recognition of professional qualifications in facilities/estates management is preferred.
• Experience planning, delivering and monitoring maintenance programmes across multiple buildings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and embed a structured Planned Preventative Maintenance approach across the estate.
• Improve CAFM data and asset information quality.
• Develop longer-term estate and asset management planning.
• Lead estates activity across a multi-site environment.
• Drive consistency in standards and ways of working across four campuses.
• Manage estates budgets, contractors and suppliers; contribute to procurement decisions.
• Oversee capital projects and future estates investment.
• Collaborate with College to ensure the estate supports staff and learners.
