An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the GMMH senior leadership team as the Head of Estates within the Capital, Estates & Facilities (CEF) Directorate. You will join a forward-thinking group, with a proven record of delivery and a mentality that continually strives to improve and evolve.
As the Head of Estates, you will have responsibility for managing the Trust's extensive estate and healthcare engineering infrastructure, in a safe, compliant and comprehensive way. You will possess strong leadership skills that positively contribute and influence the day-to-day operating of core services and actively explore opportunities to sustainably improve performance and effectiveness.
As a technical and designated senior operational manager, you will work with and manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure service users and visitors are treated in safe and therapeutic environments that support recovery, and that staff have the optimal conditions and solutions to effectively deliver patient care.
As a senior leader, you will actively contribute and influence the day-to-day operating of the Trust, providing well-considered solutions that support the cost-effective delivery of services.
You will be a vision-led individual with ambition and a strong desire to make a difference and help steer the Trust forwards to support the growth of the organisation as a leading provider of mental health and addictions services in Greater Manchester.
The Head of Estates will be responsible for the safe and compliant operational delivery of Estates (Hard FM) services across Greater Manchester, taking the role of Senior Operational Manager in accordance with HTM00 and contributing to the implementation of the Trust’s Estates Strategy 22/27 as part of overall corporate planning. They will be involved in the delivery of the Trust’s improvement plan – Building our Future Together, modelling optimism about meaningful change.
In association with the CEF Senior Leadership Team, they will influence the strategic development of a diverse range of Estates Services whilst being responsible for coordinating and managing:
The post-holder will be required to always model the values and associated behaviours of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) and collaborate closely with other Trust stakeholders (clinical and corporate) and external partners for the effective delivery of this role.
