Clarus Education seeks an ambitious Head of School for English and Maths to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills across the College. The role leads curriculum development, quality assurance and staff performance, working with vocational leaders and ESOL teams to raise attendance, progress and achievement.

You will oversee campuses at Uxbridge and Hayes, drive curriculum improvements, and ensure safeguarding and compliance across provision and funding rules.

Formación

• Full Level 5 Teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector.
• English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent.
• Experience of leading GCSE English and/or maths and Functional Skills provision in FE/post-16.
• Experience of leading curriculum teams, staff development and performance management.
• Experience of managing change and curriculum improvements, including qualification reforms.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and using performance data for improvement.
• Experience collaborating with vocational leaders, ESOL and student support teams.

Responsabilidades

• Maximise student recruitment, retention and achievement.
• Line manage curriculum teams designing, delivering and developing courses.
• Lead the School of English and Maths across campuses (Uxbridge and Hayes).
• Drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with vocational leaders, ESOL and support services to improve participation and outcomes.
• Ensure resources are used effectively and comply with funding and awarding body requirements.
