Job summary

Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby (hybrid) is seeking a Head of Engineering Producibility for valves and vessels to act as the prime engineering and programme interface, lead technical solutions, and ensure adherence to project policies and safety standards. You will drive lifecycle introductions, risk management, and gated reviews, coordinating resources to deliver on time and to budget.

You will require a degree, strong project management, systems thinking, and experience with PCB and DDRAM

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least degree level.
• Experience in Product Change control including PCB (Product Change Board) and DDRAM (Design Definition Review and Audit Meeting).
• Lifecycle Introduction Management experience.
• Project Management experience in planning, budgeting and driving to schedules.
• Engineering and technical competence enabling decision making.
• Experience applying Systems thinking or Robust Design lead approaches.

Responsibilities

• Act as prime engineering and programme interface for the project.
• Manage safety aspects of the solution.
• Be the prime customer technical interface for the project.
• Provide Programme and Technical leadership and support to the project team and comply with Engineers Function policies.
• Develop and communicate the plan and budget for delivering the work on time, and manage costs and resources.
• Implement effective technical Risk Management and gated review processes.
• Ensure appropriate resources are deployed and coordinated.
• Adhere to HS&E policy and drive continuous improvement.
