Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Head of Engineering Producibility (Valves and Vessels) for Submarines in Derby. This hybrid, full-time role leads engineering teams, manages security and safety aspects, and interfaces with customers to deliver complex propulsion solutions.

You will drive lifecycle management, change control, and project planning while maintaining adherence to Rolls-Royce quality standards and program governance.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification required.
• Domain knowledge relevant to large mechanical/propulsion packages.
• Knowledge of product change control (PCB) and DDRAM processes.
• Experience with Introduction Lifecycle Management.
• Experience in budgeting and scheduling within projects.
• Strong engineering/technical competence for large packages.
• Experience applying systems approaches (Robust Design, etc.).
• Experience leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Act as prime engineering and programme interface for the project package.
• Manage safety aspects of solutions.
• Serve as the primary customer technical interface for the project.
• Deliver project technical solution per SOW and policies.
• Provide programme/technical leadership and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain programme to ensure compliance with the quality system.
• Develop and communicate plan and budget; manage costs/resources.
• Implement risk management and gated reviews; apply HSE policy.
• Ensure proper resource deployment and coordination.
