Job summary

Morgan McKinley, on behalf of its UK client, seeks a Head of Engineering (Process & Design) to lead strategic technical direction across multiple anaerobic digestion sites. This governance-led role focuses on design standards, process safety, and technical assurance rather than hands-on design.

You will own CAD/BIM processes, lead HAZOPs, oversee mass balances, P&IDs, and drive site development, capacity planning, and continuous improvement across operations and projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Chemical Engineer with senior leadership experience.
• Experience as Design Authority or senior technical authority.
• Strong governance and technical assurance background.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Authority for process and engineering activities across all sites.
• Own and maintain engineering and process design standards.
• Provide technical oversight of models, mass balances, P&IDs and drawings.
• Lead design reviews and ensure documentation is robust and compliant.
• Oversee CAD/BIM processes and drive continuous improvement.
