Salary: Up to £80,000 + Benefits + Senior Management Opportunity

About the Business: This company are a leading name in the food manufacturing industry. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team and drive strategic initiatives at their site the midlands.

The Role: As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of their engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee a team of 20 -30 engineers, manage the PPM schedules & CI - Continuous Improvement plan, and work closely with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with their innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Steer the engineering team through transformative change, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous development.
• Design and deploy advanced maintenance strategies and technologies to maximise production efficiency.
• Manage and optimise Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programs, minimising equipment downtime and boosting operational reliability.
• Advance the use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), enhancing maintenance scheduling and performance tracking.
• Partner with site leadership and key stakeholders to ensure engineering efforts supported overarching business objectives.
• Guide and mentor engineering and technical teams, cultivating an environment of accountability, creativity, and high performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in engineering within a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
• Comfortable with fabrication and buildings maintenance.
• Ideally, experience within a similar-sized business or operation within FMCG or Food, or Manufacturing.
• Highly competitive salary & package.
