The Pingle Academy is seeking an ambitious Head of Department to lead and further develop our Engineering, Art and Technology provision. Expertise and proven leadership in Engineering are essential, with a strong ability to deliver an ambitious KS4 and KS5 curriculum.
As an experienced and inspirational leader, you will raise standards, work collaboratively with colleagues, and inspire students to pursue further study and opportunities in STEM and technology.
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic and motivated Head of Department to lead and further develop our successful Engineering, Art and Technology provision.
Expertise and proven leadership in Engineering are essential. Within your specialist area, you will have a strong understanding of and confidence in delivering an ambitious and engaging curriculum at KS4 and KS5. You will bring the vision, energy and dedication to lead the continued development of the wider curriculum, ensuring that it reflects current practice and research into effective teaching and learning.
As an experienced and inspirational leader, you will be committed to securing the highest possible standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to identify areas for development, share effective practice and drive continuous improvement across the department. With high expectations for all students, you will be passionate about creating a culture in which students are encouraged and supported to excel, develop their skills and knowledge, and recognise the opportunities available to them through further study.
An important aspect of the role will be to inspire students to develop a genuine passion for Engineering, Art and Technology and to encourage them to progress to relevant KS5 courses and beyond. You will have the vision to develop strong curriculum pathways and ensure that students are well prepared for their next steps in education, training or employment.
