About the role

QCIC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Head of Engineering to oversee and inspire our global team of Application Engineers. With direct responsibility across our regional offices, this leadership role will be key in driving technical excellence, standardisation, and innovation across the business. This individual will serve as both a mentor and a technical authority, ensuring our engineering practices remain industry-leading and aligned with evolving security technology trends.

This role is fully remote and can be based at our of our hubs around the world

What you will do

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead a global team of Application Engineers, structured by access control technologies (Honeywell, Genetec, CCURE, Lenel).
  • Provide strategic direction, technical oversight, and support to regional engineering leads.
  • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistency in standards across regions.
  • Technical Excellence & Standards:
  • Define, document, and enforce engineering standards, processes, and best practices across the global team.
  • Continuously elevate the technical capabilities of the team through training, mentoring, and performance reviews.
  • Drive innovation and ensure the adoption of cutting-edge security technologies.

Pre-Sales Engineering & Proposal Support:

  • Partner with the commercial team to provide expert input on system designs, solutions, and project proposals.
  • Contribute to quotes, RFP responses, and client-facing technical presentations.
  • Ensure all proposals are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with QCIC standards.

Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership:

  • Represent QCIC as a technology leader at industry events, conferences, and client briefings.
  • Build relationships with key technology partners and stay ahead of security technology trends.
  • Contribute to white papers, blogs, and internal knowledge repositories.

What we are looking for

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in security systems engineering, with a strong focus on access control technologies.
  • Proven expertise in Honeywell, Genetec, CCURE, and Lenel systems.
  • Experience managing distributed technical teams in a global business.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle – from design and scoping to implementation and support.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A track record of thought leadership or public speaking in the security industry is highly desirable.
  • Visionary and proactive – always seeking better, faster, smarter ways of working.
  • Passionate about developing talent and raising the technical bar.
  • A collaborative mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Globally aware – understands the nuances of working across different cultures and time zones.
