Job summary

Boden Group is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the Engineering & Maintenance team across a multi-site healthcare estate in the UK. The role reports to the CEO and carries P&L responsibility for budget lines within the Hard FM portfolio.

Based in Warrington or London, the position offers senior leadership responsibilities, statutory compliance focus, and a drive to optimise service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction across sites in the north and south of the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Hard FM across multi-site PPP/PFI estates, ideally healthcare.
• Knowledge of HTMs and HBNs in healthcare maintenance.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness with budget accountability.

We are currently hiring a Head of Engineering to lead the Engineering & Maintenance team across a Healthcare LIFT/PPP portfolio, spanning sites in the north and south of the UK.

This is a senior leadership role reporting into the CEO, with responsibility for asset and property services across a suite of Hard FM contracts, ensuring statutory compliance, service delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction across a complex, multi-site healthcare estate.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and developing the Engineering & Maintenance team across a multi-site healthcare estate
• Overseeing statutory compliance, H&S, and technical audits across the portfolio

What you'll need:

• Strong technical knowledge of building services engineering, statutory compliance, and healthcare maintenance requirements, including HTMs and HBNs
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, contractors, and multiple stakeholders
• Commercial awareness, with experience of performance management, contract delivery, and budget accountability
• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering discipline
