Job Description:

The Client:

A leading global financial services firm is looking for a senior employment lawyer to head their employment legal functions. As the head of the team, you will have line management responsibility and work closely with senior stakeholders, supporting the firm's strategy on a cross-border basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead legal advice on employment law matters.
• Focus on non-contentious and contentious employment law issues across EMEA, including recruitment, performance management, terminations, restrictive covenants, immigration, etc.
• Support with contractual matters.
• Collaborate with People Operations to develop and improve employment processes and procedures.
• Serve as a legal advisor on various business initiatives and transactions, primarily in London/EMEA.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams across departments.
• Manage external counsel when needed.

Qualifications:

• 10+ PQE employment lawyer, preferably with law firm or in-house experience.
• Experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters is advantageous.
• Financial services experience is not required.
• Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork mindset.
