Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electoral Services Manager to lead the Council's electoral registration, elections, canvassing and reviews. You will act as the expert on electoral legislation and ensure compliance with Electoral Commission guidance, supporting the Returning Officer to deliver elections across the Borough.

The role requires substantial experience in electoral services, strong leadership skills and full compliance with current regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an Electoral Services environment.
• Experience delivering elections, referenda and registration.
• Proficient with Electoral Management Systems and databases.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electoral Services Team with recruitment and development.
• Oversee the Register of Electors and ensure deadlines.
• Advise on electoral registration, elections administration, and legislation.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, guidance, and best practices.
• Plan and execute the Annual Electoral Canvass including budget.
• Oversee absent voter register and postal vote refresh.
• Lead electoral reviews of polling districts and places.
