Job summary

Informa PLC, a leading academic publishing and information services company, seeks an Editorial Operations Director (Books) to provide visionary leadership across editorial operations and a four-person editorial workflow team. The role requires shaping strategy, driving transformation, and delivering sustainable business advantage.

You will partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, foster innovation, and build a culture where people and processes excel.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in publishing or similar media businesses.
• Strong strategic vision and ability to translate strategy into action.
• Proven track record of driving transformation and efficiency gains.
• Financial acumen with P&L oversight and budgeting experience.
• Excellent relationship-building with senior executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of four Editorial Workflow Managers.
• Shape multi-year editorial and business strategy with publishing leaders.
• Establish KPIs and performance frameworks to drive profitability.
• Engage with executives to champion editorial operations enterprise-wide.
• Drive digital transformation and evaluate enterprise systems.
• Manage the editorial operations budget and investments.
