Job summary

Taylor & Francis Group, part of Informa, seeks an Editorial Operations Director (Books) to lead editorial operations, shape strategy, and drive transformation. You will manage a team, partner with senior leaders, and champion innovation across publishing processes.

The role requires senior leadership experience in academic publishing, strong financial acumen, and a track record of delivering strategic change. Milton Park, Oxfordshire offices with a balanced in-person/remote working model.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading leaders/managers at an executive level.
• Proven track record in strategic planning and organizational transformation.
• Deep knowledge of academic publishing and its industry dynamics.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four Editorial Workflow Managers.
• Shape multi-year strategic plans aligned with wider business objectives.
• Establish enterprise-wide KPIs and performance frameworks and oversee portfolio performance.
• Represent editorial operations in executive forums and strategic sessions.
• Drive the digital transformation strategy for editorial operations and evaluate enterprise-level systems.
• Own and manage the editorial operations budget and invest in technology, people, and infrastructure.
