Job summary

The Planner Jobs Redactive Publishing Limited is seeking an experienced Head of Economic Development for a London-based Local Authority. The role focuses on delivering economic growth, regeneration priorities and strong partnerships to maximise investment and placemaking across the borough.

You will lead on economic strategies, regeneration programmes and complex projects, managing teams and budgets, with hybrid working and attendance in the office 2–3 days per week.

• Shape and deliver economic development strategies and regeneration priorities across the borough.

• Provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders and Members and oversee programme delivery.

You will join a London-based Local Authority as an experienced Head of Economic Development, leading the delivery of economic growth and regeneration priorities across the borough.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced economic development professional who can provide strategic direction, develop partnerships, and drive forward regeneration initiatives that support investment, growth, and placemaking ambitions.

You will be responsible for shaping and delivering economic strategies, developing regeneration pipelines, supporting masterplans, and working with key stakeholders including businesses, public sector partners, and wider regional organisations to maximise economic opportunities.

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader, able to manage teams, oversee complex programmes, develop business cases, secure investment opportunities, and provide expert advice to senior stakeholders and Members.

Role Specific

• Hybrid working offered, with office attendance required 2-3 times per week
