As a Head of Digital Products - 12 month maternity cover, you will drive the digital experience by leading our employee-focused product strategy and roadmap. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the overall digital product strategy for our employees (aka Nandocas). You’ll lead a team of Product Managers, guiding their strategic thinking and coordinating the creation of a digital roadmap that aligns with our business objectives.

You’ll lead teams responsible for delivering the digital solutions that power our employee experience, including:

  • Core HR, reward and payroll systems
  • Recruitment platforms and processes
  • Internal communications tools
  • Learning and development platforms

Additionally, you’ll provide strategic support to the team developing digital products for our Finance and Property departments, as well as solutions that advance our sustainability initiatives.

A day in the life...

  • You will drive product strategy in partnership with senior leaders, balancing user needs, business objectives, technology capabilities and commercial considerations
  • You will guide four distinct product teams in shaping strategies that deliver digital solutions aligned with Nando’s business needs
  • You will manage relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation and champion cross-functional collaboration at all levels
  • You will co-ordinate product teams as they develop custom solutions or integrate packaged software to address business needs
  • You will work with product managers and delivery leads to resolve prioritisation challenges and remove delivery blockers
  • You will implement and monitor performance metrics across multiple teams to ensure team effectiveness and product value
  • You will work with support leads to ensure an effective support model across all teams that balances new feature releases with the support of existing products
  • You will own and manage key vendor and third-party relationships across Tech
  • You will help refine our tech operating model including organisational structure, communities, roles and capabilities
  • You will shape product practices and ways of working in collaboration with the wider product and engineering communities
  • You will coach product managers, actively fostering skill development and growth throughout the product community
  • You will have career/line management accountability for product managers and delivery leads
  • You will play a lead role in helping shape the overall culture within Nando’s Tech
  • You will support broader business transformation initiatives and articulate the value that technology delivers

Hot Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in a product or delivery leadership role or evidence of strong cross transferable experience
  • 4+ years of experience in People management
  • Experience of working in a leadership roles within organisations undergoing a digital transformation
  • Domain specific knowledge, typically within People related technologies (Core HR, L&D, recruitment, internal comms for example) would be highly advantageous but not essential for the role
