Job summary

Tesco UK is seeking a senior leader to drive developer experience and tooling across global teams, with a focus on agentic coding and the SDLC. You will own budgets, partner with suppliers, and shape strategy to evolve how software is built for millions of customers.

You will lead managers across India and Hungary, balancing fast delivery with security and resilience, and you will influence the Technology organisation through expert knowledge of AI-enabled coding practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading geographically dispersed teams and managers.
Strong strategy and decision‑making skills in a fast‑evolving space.
Hands‑on software engineering background to empathize with engineers’ needs.
Excellent communication and influencing abilities.

Responsibilities

Oversees developer experience and tooling across global teams (India, Hungary).
Owns budgets, supplier relationships, and build vs buy decisions for tooling.
Shapes SDLC strategy in light of Agentic AI and ensures secure, resilient delivery.
Leads strategic direction and execution for agentic AI enablement across product teams.
