Job summary

ESco in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Head of Technology to join the Senior Leadership Team and shape the company’s future tech direction. This senior role blends strategic leadership with commercial awareness across software, data, AI and business processes.

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary technology team, translate priorities into deliverable solutions, and drive a technology roadmap. The position offers genuine ownership and impact at an established business with a hybrid

Qualifications

Significant technical leadership experience in a software/technology-led environment.
Experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams.
Strong knowledge of modern software development, architecture and engineering best practice.
Understanding of APIs, integrations, databases and cloud technologies.
Ability to translate complex technical thinking into clear, commercially sound decisions.
Experience developing and delivering a technology roadmap.
Pragmatic approach balancing technology, people, cost, security and risk.

Responsibilities

Develop, own and deliver ESco’s technology strategy and roadmap.
Lead and develop the multidisciplinary technology team.
Provide technical direction across software development, systems and the wider technology environment.
Translate commercial priorities into effective technology solutions.
Challenge and refine proposed solutions, architecture and technology choices.
Shape approach to software development, integrations, data, cloud and resilience.
