Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Shape the creative strategy for Chase Erwin and the sign, aligning design vision with brand direction and evolving market trends across interiors and textiles.
- Oversee execution of all design and product development stages – trend research, mill and studio visits, concept creation, fabric selection, prototyping, sampling, and finished product evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, and marketing, ensuring seamless integration of design concepts with commercial objectives.
- Deliver collections on time and within budget parameters.
- Champion a customer-focused approach by translating market insights into commercially viable products that exceed client expectations.
- Work cross-functionally to optimize the product development processes and sustainable practices, enhancing efficiency and ROI.
- Represent the brand at industry events, supplier meetings, and design exhibitions (this will require regular international travel).
- Drive the adoption of innovative materials, finishes, and techniques, maintaining a leadership position in luxury textile design.
Additional Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Significant, demonstrable experience in a leadership design role in the luxury interior textiles or fabric industry.
- Advanced knowledge of woven textile design, material innovation, and development processes.
- Proven ability to create commercially successful and contemporary collections for discerning clients.
- Experience managing complex product development projects from concept to launch, within time and budget constraints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and direct multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance creativity and business objectives.
- Hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail and quality.
