Are you an inspiring and experienced Geography teacher ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a passionate and committed Head of Geography to join our dynamic secondary school community in Longsight, Manchester from September 2025.
As Head of Geography, you will lead a dedicated department, fostering a love for geographical learning and critical thinking across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and ideally Key Stage 5). This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented teacher with leadership aspirations or existing leadership experience to shape and develop an ambitious Geography curriculum that engages, challenges, and inspires students.
Lead and manage the Geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
Develop and deliver an engaging, inclusive, and well-structured curriculum.
Support, mentor, and inspire staff within the department.
Monitor and track student progress, using data to drive improvement.
Contribute to whole-school development and collaborate with senior leaders.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Geography.
Proven experience of excellent classroom practice.
A record of successful student outcomes and raising achievement.
The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Passion for Geography and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality education.
