Job summary

VennGroup is seeking an Interim Head of Delivery to join a Housing Service in London. You will lead the delivery of complex programmes, improve operational performance and strengthen governance to deliver better outcomes for residents during a major transformation.

Based in London with hybrid working, the role focuses on implementing strategy, designing new initiatives, and building multidisciplinary delivery teams to drive service improvements and value-for-money within the authority.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex projects and programmes in large organisations.
• Local government or public sector experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies.
• PM qualification (PRINCE2/MSP/APM)

Responsibilities

• Lead major service improvement and transformation initiatives, ensuring they are evidence-led and focused on resident outcomes.
• Establish and lead multidisciplinary delivery teams across systems, data, finance, improvement and housing services.
• Lead work around budgets, savings, service charges and value-for-money initiatives.
• Develop effective performance management frameworks, KPIs, budgets and targets to monitor delivery against strategic objectives.

Interim Head of Delivery - Housing

Based in London, hybrid working

Length: 3-6 months

We are seeking an experienced Head of Delivery to join a Housing Service within a Local Authority who are undergoing a significant programme of improvement and transformation.

You will lead the delivery of complex programmes and projects designed to improve operational performance, strengthen governance and deliver better outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead major service improvement and transformation initiatives, ensuring they are evidence-led and focused on resident outcomes, all in line with the 10-year Housing Plan
• This includes implementing strategy & policy change, inspection readiness, design and delivery of new business initiatives, major service and system change projects
• Establish and lead multidisciplinary delivery teams across systems, data, finance, improvement and housing services
• Lead work around HRA budgets, savings, service charges and value-for-money initiatives
• Develop effective performance management frameworks, KPIs, budgets and targets to monitor delivery against strategic objectives

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering complex projects and programmes within a large and complex organisation
• Ideal candidate will have local government experience but open to wider public sector organisations too
• Strong knowledge of different project and programme management methodologies
• A recognised project/programme management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP or APM
