Job summary

Blue Light Card is seeking a Head of Technical Delivery on a 13-month fixed-term contract starting February 2027. You will own delivery across Engineering, Product, Design and Data, manage budgets, and report to the CTO.

This is a growing function with new delivery managers joining and a hybrid working model across UK offices. You will collaborate with Finance, Directors and business owners, shaping plans, reporting, and governance while deploying practical AI to deliver outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large multi-team programmes in product/tech environments.
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders up to Directors/Executives.
• Proven vendor/contract management and budgeting experience.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Own relationships with external vendors and agencies from start to finish, including contracts and delivery reporting.
• Manage EPDD budgets with CapEx reporting and headcount planning.
• Lead quarterly and annual EPDD planning with cross-functional partners.
• Develop exec-level delivery reporting and surface risks early.
• Support and grow Technical Delivery Managers and squads.
• Embed new ways of working as the team grows.
• Translate business needs into clear delivery plans for EPDD teams.
• Programme manage cross-functional initiatives led by EPDD.
