Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Technical Programme Manager to build and scale the Data organisation’s programme management function. You will own planning and execution across the data roadmap in partnership with Data leadership, and lead flagship programmes spanning data platforms, ingestion, curation and annotation pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience delivering data programmes as a technical programme manager.
• Experience spanning data platforms, pipelines, enrichment, curation or labelling.
• Built or scaled a programme function with ownership and bias for action.
• Experience building and growing high-performing teams.
• Deep technical depth across data platforms and large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to engage engineers credibly without requiring production code.
• Experience with data ingestion, DAGs and multi-stage pipelines.
• Understanding of ML, GPUs and training/inference for large models.
• Proficiency with Databricks, Flyte, Ray, Kubernetes, Azure, Docker and Python.
• Familiarity with AI agents such as Cursor, Claude or Codex to accelerate execution.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop a small TPM team, elevating delivery standards.
• Act as trusted delivery partner to Data and Engineering leadership.
• Manage dependencies, surface risks and remove blockers across data, ML and engineering.
• Use KPIs, dashboards and reviews to understand progress and steer decisions.
• Represent the Data organisation in company-level reviews, linking delivery to business impact.
• Build and scale the TPM function for the Data organisation.
• Own planning, prioritisation and execution across the data roadmap with Data leadership.
• Lead flagship programmes across data platform, ingestion, curation and dataset management.
• Establish scalable planning cadences, governance and operational practices.
• Drive improvements in data quality, throughput, cost and time-to-insight.
