Job summary

Attribution Search is partnering with a growing hedge fund to appoint a Head of Data who will own the data infrastructure, architecture and wider data strategy. Working closely with the CTO and investment teams, the successful candidate will oversee reference and market data infrastructure while staying hands-on.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in reference, market or investment data management.
• Strong understanding of fixed income markets (credit, loans, derivatives).
• Hands-on Python and SQL development and data pipeline design.
• Experience designing data platforms, security masters and data pipelines.
• Familiar with providers like Bloomberg, S&P, Markit.
• Ability to take ownership of technical decisions in a growing hedge fund.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop reference and market data infrastructure, including security master.
• Drive data architecture, governance and integration across trading, risk and investment systems.
• Lead development of investment book of record and data platform.
• Manage market data vendors and strategic build-vs-buy decisions.
• Develop production-grade Python and SQL pipelines.
• Collaborate with investment teams and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
