A global financial services firm is hiring a Head of Enterprise Architecture to drive architectural strategy across the entire business. This is a senior leadership role reporting to C-Level with full accountability for setting the architecture vision, owning design authority, and embedding governance across cloud, data, and applications.

The organisation is deep into its digital transformation journey and operates as a Microsoft Azure house. You’ll be at the centre of critical decision-making, influencing how architecture supports long-term growth, operational efficiency, and digital delivery.

What You’ll Own

1. Define and lead the enterprise architecture strategy across business applications, integration, infrastructure, and data.
2. Chair the Architecture Board and Technology Forum – driving governance, alignment, and execution.
3. Build and lead a high-performing team of Solution and Data Architects.
4. Own current and future-state architecture models, principles, and capability roadmaps.
5. Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Application leaders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and deliver measurable value.
6. Be the trusted voice on architecture in the boardroom – driving decisions that shape the firm’s future.

What You Bring

1. Extensive experience as a senior Enterprise or Solutions Architect in a complex, regulated environment.
2. Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure-native data and integration services.
3. Strong grasp of the Microsoft data stack: SQL Server, SSIS, T-SQL, SSRS.
4. Enterprise-level understanding of architecture frameworks and governance models.
5. Proven ability to drive technical strategy while leading high-performing teams.
6. Insurance, reinsurance, or financial services experience is a strong advantage.
