We are looking for a Head of Data and Analytics to join us here at Bestway!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the data and analytics strategy to drive commercial value and operational efficiency in retail/wholesale.
• Lead, mentor and scale data teams, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and innovation.
• Oversee the design, implementation and optimisation of scalable data infrastructure, pipelines, and cloud data warehouses (including Snowflake).
• Deliver actionable insights across pricing, margin, product performance, customer behaviour, and market trends to support business decisions.
• Champion data governance, quality, security and compliance (e.g. GDPR), ensuring robust data management processes.
• Integrate and structure data from multiple business systems (e.g. POS, CRM, ERP, e-commerce) for effectuive reporting and analytics.
• Drive adoption of advanced analytics, AI, and automation to unlock new opportunities and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and data products.
• Promote data literacy, self-serve analytics, and data storytelling across the organisation.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in retail analytics and data platforms.
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in data, analytics or data science with at least 5 years in leadership roles, ideally in retail, wholesale or high-volume consumer sectors.
• Proven experience in data strategy, data governance, and analytics delivery with measurable business impact.
• Advanced proficiency in SCL and Python for data manipulation, automation and analysis.
• Must have hands on experience with MicroStrategy (BI/dashboarding) and Snowflake (cloud data warehousing).
• Strong experience designing and managing scalable data pipelines and architectures, including integrating data from POS, CRM and e-commerce systems.
• Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data stacks.
• Proficiency with big data technologies and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong foundation in statistics, data analysis and machine learning.
• Advanced skills in business intelligence and data visual station tools (MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience implementing data quality, privacy and security protocols.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences.
