Job summary

East Sussex County Council is seeking a senior leader to head cyber security, information governance and information risk. You will shape strategic decisions, strengthen resilience and improve how services are designed, delivered and transformed across the council and with partners.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, embed risk frameworks, and influence senior leaders, elected members and external partners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading cyber security and information governance functions in large or complex organisations.
• Strategic leadership to influence senior leaders and partners on risk, assurance and resilience.
• Experience developing and embedding governance, risk management and assurance frameworks.
• Proven ability to build, lead and develop high-performing teams through change.
• Ability to communicate complex risks clearly and practically to diverse stakeholders.
