Job summary

NRG Resourcing is seeking a Head of Credit for Bridging and Development Finance in the UK. The role combines credit leadership with end-to-end lending operations, overseeing policy, risk and live loan book performance.

You will lead the Credit and Loan Management teams, drive process improvements, and report to senior stakeholders including the Commercial and Finance Directors. Hybrid/remote working offered.

Qualifications

• Senior experience leading credit functions within bridging and development finance.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, underwriting standards and policy governance.
• Confident presenting to Credit Committee and Board-level stakeholders.
• Experience managing a live loan book and related reporting.
• Proven leadership of credit/loan management teams with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Assess, structure and approve lending within policy and risk appetite.
• Present recommendations to Credit Committee with clear rationale.
• Oversee the live loan book: monitoring, exits, arrears, extensions, stressed cases.
• Shape and improve credit policy and underwriting standards.
• Own the lending journey end-to-end from application to redemption.
• Improve handovers and turnaround times across Sales, Credit and Loan Management.
• Enhance processes, controls, workflows and management information for scalability.
• Lead Credit and Loan Management teams; plan capacity and development.
• Report credit performance, portfolio risk, and operational efficiency to Directors.
• Support funder reviews, audits and due-diligence activities.
