Head of Credit

Location: London

We are proud to be working with an incredibly reputable, growing lender that specialises in bridging and development finance, as they enter their next phase of growth.

We are actively seeking a proven Head of Credit/ Head of Underwriting/ Chief Lending Officer type, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the bridging and development finance space.

This position is a senior strategic role. You will be at the helm of the business, managing a team of credit professionals, including an Underwriting Manager and a few Underwriters. You will be driving forward the lending function, ensuring that SLAs are met. It is vital that you can see a deal from a credit AND asset perspective.

You will have lived through the ups and downs of the property finance space, and will be able to look at a complex loan from a legal perspective, really understanding the nuts and bolts of each case on its individual merits.

You will be technology-savvy, with proven experience of looking at streamlining processes to ensure a seamless rhythm is maintained within the lending team. You will lead by example, with a dynamic and passionate work ethic, that builds camaraderie.

It is vital that you have a strong knowledge of all aspects of bridging and development products, preferably on a non-reg basis, including ground floor up, light and heavy refurb and commercial and residential property.
