Job summary

Gillespie Recruitment Ltd is supporting a well-established legal practice in appointing an experienced Head of Conveyancing to lead a busy residential property department.

The role combines strong technical conveyancing expertise with proven leadership to drive performance, client service, compliance and team development, while managing a caseload and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer or equivalent experience.
• Extensive residential conveyancing experience.
• Leadership or team management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across conveyancing transactions.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience meeting financial targets.
• Confident decision-maker with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a residential conveyancing team

• Driving departmental growth, profitability and efficiency
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
• Supporting business development and networking activities

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or equivalent experience
• Extensive residential conveyancing experience
• Previous leadership or team management experience
• Strong technical knowledge across a range of conveyancing transactions
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and experience working to financial targets
• Confident decision-maker with strong organisational skills
