Job summary

Essar Oil (UK) Limited, Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, invites a Head of Construction and Enabling for UK CAPEX projects. You will lead all on-site construction across a live refinery environment, taking full accountability for enabling works through to handover, ensuring safety, quality, and on-schedule delivery.

The role demands strong leadership across multi-contractor sites, brownfield sequencing, and compliance with COMAH, CDM 2015 and UK HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading EPC construction on large industrial or energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of COMAH, CDM 2015 and UK construction standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and brownfield site interfaces.
• Experience delivering projects in live UK operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary construction across multiple sites.
• Manage contractor performance, safety, and delivery against programme.
• Drive construction commercial performance including change control and claims.
• Oversee enabling works and site readiness for construction.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, COMAH, and UK HSE standards.
• Resolve complex site issues and SIMOPS interface challenges.
• Support wider project leadership and stakeholder alignment when deputising.
