Head of Compliance (Advisory), Hemel Hempstead

Our client, a global leader in their field, is seeking a Head of Compliance (Advisory) to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer, and involves working in partnership to build top-tier compliance teams both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the business to ensure activities comply with policies, laws, and regulations.
  2. Provide strategic oversight, interpret regulations, and engage stakeholders to anticipate risks and inform decisions.
  3. Lead and develop compliance programmes such as policy development, third-party due diligence, and sanctions.
  4. Manage global transformation projects to enhance compliance with laws and regulations.
  5. Design controls and mitigation strategies.
  6. Assist in designing and implementing compliance policies and training internationally.
  7. Engage with senior stakeholders demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Extensive experience in compliance, especially sanctions and third-party due diligence.
  2. Experience in a global leadership role.
  3. Proven ability to develop compliance programmes.
  4. Exceptional project management skills, capable of leading large-scale initiatives.
  5. Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
