Job summary

gatesolutions is seeking a QHSSE Auditor to lead ISO certification maintenance for the LNER rail contract. You will plan and run audits across multiple service centres, collaborate with the ISO Implementation Manager, and translate audit data into clear reports for decision-making.

The role requires travel across sites and flexible handling of multi-site operations. With a degree in Health & Safety or Food Safety and NEBOSH certification, you’ll bring 2+ years in rail, aviation, or food

Qualifications

• Degree in Health & Safety or Food Safety or equivalent.
• NEBOSH certification is desirable.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within rail, aviation or food industry.
• Auditing experience, ideally ISO, IRCA or BRC qualified.
• Good knowledge of UK food safety and H&S legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with reporting experience.
• Organised, detail-focused and able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Audit QHSSE compliance across service centres and support managers to maintain it.
• Investigate complaints, accidents and claims, and drive corrective actions.
• Carry out risk assessments and deliver QHSSE training.
• Analyse trends and report to gatesolutions and LNER teams.
• Liaise with regulators, legal teams and third parties; ensure licences and approvals.
• Provide technical input for customer tenders and visits.

Job description

Help keep our customers and staff safe. As part of the gatesolutions management team, you’ll lead our efforts to maintain the ISO certifications on our LNER rail contract. You’ll plan and run internal and external audits across our service centres, work with the ISO Implementation Manager, and use your analytical skills to turn audit and trend data into clear reports that drive decisions. The role is multi-site, so you’ll need to be flexible and willing to travel.

What you’ll do:

• Carry out risk assessments and deliver QHSSE training

• Provide technical input for customer tenders and visits

About you:

• Educated to Degree (or equivalent) in Health & Safety or Food Safety
• Certified in NEBOSH
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within rail, aviation or food industry
• Auditing experience, ideally ISO, IRCA or BRC qualified
• Good knowledge of UK food safety and H&S legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with management reporting experience
